Business for Breakfast
Monthly Networking Breakfasts – Held on the second Thursday of the month at the Shenkman Arts Centre, this is a great chance to meet other business owners in a casual setting. Mainly focused on providing members an opportunity to network with a little bit of business to keep it informative. Special guests have included Mayor Jim Watson, Guy Laflamme and many other influential members of the community.
Eric Collard spends his days as the Managing Partner of the Ottawa Media Group, a full-fledged communications start-up that has access to close to 20 of the best minds in Canada in media training, communications strategy and event management.
When he's not giving workshops or presenting at conferences, he's concentrating on helping organizations of all shapes and sizes navigate the new realities, online, in media and in-person. He's spoken across North America on topics close to his heart over the past five years.
Sam is a born fundraiser! She has worked in all aspects of fundraising including legacy giving, capital campaigns, annual campaigns, grants and special events. Samantha's experience also includes media relations and public relations.
Currently Sam is Director, Development at Ottawa-Carleton Life skills. Samantha has also worked for the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa, The Ottawa Mission, the Ottawa Humane Society and The Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
Samantha has a passion for connecting donors to the needs of the community.
Samantha started to work with Gryphon Fundraising and sharing her vast knowledge of donor database analytics with other non-profits in Canada, the US and Australia. She continues to work with Gryphon and hundreds of clients worldwide.
Sam is a sought after speaker. She has spoken at AFP International Conferences (2013 and 2014), CAGP National Conference (2013 and 2015) and ADRP International Conference (2012) as well as AFP Congress for 2013 and 2014. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP).
